What’s happening in Greece? Just over one year ago, the shooting of teenager Alexandros Grigoropoulos by the police fired a massive scale reaction from the anti-authoritarian youth. The riots kicked off (and still go on) in a country facing a big economic crisis, but what impresses us most is the determination and resistance of this movement. Their aim is a complete change in state and society: so should we dare to speak the word? A revolution. Then, another important item for a discussion: a couple of months ago Alfredo Bonanno, one of the most controversial and known figures of insurrectionary anarchism, was arrested in Greece along with Christos Stratigopoulos shortly after a bank robbery had taken place. He’s now held in prison under conditions that are unbearable for anyone, and less for an old, sick, brave man who has already been deprived of his freedom for a long time.

A “strong” bomb exploded outside the Greek parliament building in Athens tonight, on the corner of Vassilisis Sofias and Amalias Avenue. Mainstream media report that the attackers warned of the attack by calling an Athens daily newspaper minutes before the explosion so as for the police to cordon off the area. There are no injuries reported. More info as it comes.
During some time the government of PASOK with first its puppets, big part of the media, assisted by fossils of the type of Mitsotakis and reptiles of the type of Michalos tries to convince the society that sacrifices are needed “for good of the economy”, “in order to decrease our deficit”.
So, “bad” Brussels tighten us and we we cannot act differently. A theater of absurd, a badly played game at the expense of the society. As if they are not all toghether in a wonderful collaboration, state and capital, european bureaucrats, rating companies and markets. As if these insects have differences from each other and do not parasite all together and in joint the oppressed.
A recent “official” research suggests that the 31% of the society believes that the only solution is the inversion of the system. Legitimately therefore we suppose that this percentage “informally” is even bigger.
So, let’s organize towards this direction.

Therefore lengthy analyzes are not necessary… We act taking into consideration our moral substance and dignity and we know that the ears of the small bourgois class does not hear nothing more except for advertisements for new consuming products. We also know very well who are our enemies. Sometimes obvious, sometimes concealed. We are in war and we do not fall into no delusion of social peace that their system offers. Between our enemies are also the hardly workers of the diplomatic body of all state-nations. Well-fed dogs of governments charged with tedious afternoons of public relations with each other, with smuggling, with loundrying of money and a lot more tedious “work” under absolute arrangement of legal immunity. Government owned dogs used to a glamorous over-consuming life with huge wage from our money. They walk between us demonstrating their glamorous life and we… will strike them with rage.
On Tuesday 5/1/2010 we created a hearth of fire in Down Chalandri with the help of diplomatic vehicle that was offered generously in our appetites of fire. Unfortunately it was destroyed completely and we seek the next target. Do not sleep quietly. We walk around with other brothers and you will feel our breath.
“Those who do not have their own qualifications resort to their glorified ancestors and their grandfathers, in other words, to graves and tombs.” All the rest, to the streets. Each one with his way to cause a crack in the urban web.

Chaotic Cynics
On Tuesday evening, a 26-year old student was arrested for his alleged participation to the “conspiracy of the cells of fire”, marking the 16th arrest for this case. The student had appeared at his local police station in Zografou, Athens, to fulfill his bail conditions, having being arrested at the demonstrations during the European Social Forum in Athens (in 2006 – and still awaiting trial…) Apparently, the fingerprints of the 26-year old were in mobile objects in the house raided in Chalandri, Athens in September 2009. His fingerprints were verified, the police want us to believe, a whole four months later and his arrest warrant was issued on December 31. He will appear before the public interrogator tomorrow (Thursday).
Anarchists called for a gathering outside the prisons at the time of the change of the year. This is a gathering that happens every New Year’s Eve the last five years. About 200 people took place in this event outside the largest prison of the country (Korydallos, Athens). They didn’t stop shouting slogans and used some firework. The prisoners from inside answered to the slogans. Also anarchists gathered outside the prisons of Volos (Central Greece) and Alikarnassos (Crete).
The main slogans were “Freedom to all that are in the prisons”, “Neither political nor penal, explosives and fire to every prison”, “The passion for freedom is stronger than any of your prisons” and many more.

Our being is on fire. Behind the bars we have set ourselves, sometimes even for our own selves.
Our being is on fire. In front of shiny storefronts, between humans who demand nothing. In the workspaces, the consumerist “wants”, in the economy’s suffocating flow. In representation, idleness, the rottenness that eats away the last cells of the social body. In the teaching rooms, in the teachers’ orders, the dreams of capitalist integration. In the boring evenings in front of the talking box, in the “socialising” evenings, in the distribution of whatever lifestyles to all in order to become accepted. In the norms and boxes, in laws, cops and their collaborators. In fear and weakness, in resignations, in self-destructing engagements with whatever soothes the pain born by meaningless life.
Our being is on fire. And we ask nothing from this world and everyone who digs it. We insist, we bleed, we risk for ourselves and for this world’s destruction and wonder if there are others ready to accompany us in the nights of struggle.
Our being is on fire. Decisions are quickened, denials are erected. Another small breath… Until the next one, with no end, now and for ever.

Our being is on fire and we simply air it, in this case by torching to the ground the luxury clothing shop Prince Oliver in the center of Thessaloniki.
We don’t stop and for this reason the enemy has already lost. War without a breath.

Explosive Material
Since May 16th Agros (=plot of land/field) is a free, vivid place within the abandoned and commercialized Tritsi Park (NW Athens). Agros carries out collective land cultivation, weekly assemblies on social/political issues and initiatives against the state’s destructive development plans. Their modus operandi is based on making individual needs and wishes collective and pursuing them regardless of authorities and mediators of all kinds.
On Wednesday night (23/12) Agros, the self-managed, occupied zone in Tritsi Park came under arson attack. The fire brigade was contacted at 23:45 and put out the fire promptly. The fascists waited for the people to leave and afterwards sneaked in, in the dark (a split iron bar was later found at the back side of the squat).
The most considerable material damage was done in the room they store their water tank and tools (they fascists broke in through a window in this room). They spilled inflammable liquid all over the place (a half-burnt backpack, wicks, strips of cloth etc were found after the incident) and also destroyed a small seedbed, where plants were kept until they could be planted.

Restitution works started on Saturday 26/12 and many comrades showed up to help.
On Monday night, the group conspiracy of cells of fire posted a communique on Athens Indymedia (greek original here) claiming Sunday night’s attack on the national bank and insurance agency on Sygrou Avenue in Athens. The explosion was very strong, marking an upgrading in the group’s capacities – as they themselves note in the communique. They send “comradely greetings” to anarchist bank robber and prisoner Yiannis Dimitrakis, to Chilean anarchists Freddy Fuentevilla and Marcelo Villaruel, to Gabriel Pompo da Silva (who went on hunger strike on December 20 in the prison of Aachen, Germany) as well as Ilias Nikolaou, Polykarops Georgiadis (another two anarchist prisoners in Greece) and finally, Charis Chatzimichelakis and Panayiotis Masouras, as well as the third person in pre-trial detention in connection to the conspiracy of cells of fire case, who they name by initials only.
