Five migrants vaguely dead in a road accident in western Greece

The news only appeared in the “inside pages” of corporate press. Five “migrants” (as simple as that: non-Greeks) died when the van carrying them to a remote beach of Western Greece ran off the road (destination unknown: their driver, the only person who knew the exact location where they were going, ran away after the accident). Another ten are hospitalised in three hospitals across the region. The others, “approximately” thirty of them according to the same reports, have been scattered across local police departments. The van transferring them was carrying fake license plates, and so there is no information coming from that side, either.

These are our strange times – the times when even the cold certainty of death is veiled under the abstract, the partially informed, the vague. Five migrants have died on the curb of some road leading to a remote beach somewhere on the Western Greek mainland and that is all we will ever know.

5 migrant died. Many , many Greeks die every day. Do we want to issue a panegyric about the death of 5 migrants. Migrants should avoid Greece. There is no more room in Greece for greek themselves , let alone illegal wanderers called migrants.
