A note on comments

In the past few days this blog has seen an extreme upsurge in traffic. This is, of course, a good thing – however, it has come along with some comments that are provocative, disrespectful and otherwise distractive from the main purpose for this blog’s existence, which is to offer grassroots information from the Greek streets from an anarchist perspective.

The reason this blog exists, in other words, is to offer information – not to provide another platform for discussion, of which plenty exist across the web already. Please keep this in mind when posting in the comments section, which is also often used by the blog’s users in order to offer additional info and/or translations of texts.

We have neither the time nor the intention to intervene in the comments section except for the absolute basics (i.e. to remove spam, fascist comments and obvious trolls) – we simply ask all our users to respect a space that is intended first and foremost for the dissemination of information.

in solidarity,

OL.

PS: On a technical note – comments that include more than two links are automatically placed on a moderation queue by the software this blog’s running (wordpress). Once we see your comment, we’ll make it visible; but if you want your comments to appear instantly simply break up the links – no more than two per post.
