It’s almost impossible to write a proper update of what is happening everywhere. Demonstrations took place in Monday in almost all cities and neighborhoods, especially from students. These are just some of the cities, that Athens IMC users informed about: In Kozani, occupation of the city hall in solidarity to the arrested and to denounce the state terrorism of last days. In Lesvos (Mytilene), Lefkada, Paros, Larissa, Veria, Rhodes, Chania (Crete), Kalamata, Katerini, Zakynthos, Tripoles, Samos, Volos, Herakleion (Crete), demonstrations took place. In some of these cities arrests are reported. Other actions, as few-minute-occupations of radio stations, happened.
In Athens, after the demonstration and the huge repression, an assembly took place in the occupied Polytechnic. The people left from there with a demo, trying to avoid arrests, as the police was everywhere around. The occupation of the Polytechnic has ended.
In Thessaloniki, after the assembly in the university, a demo took place , in solidarity to the arrested, demanding the release of the that day’s arrests. After that, they closed Egnatia Street (one of the two main streets of the city) from 6.45 to 10.15. They left from there only when it got known that all comrades that were arrested on December 7th were set free.
On Tuesday 8th December solidarity demonstrations are planned in Athens (19.00) at prolilaia square and in Salonica at kamara (18.00). Also there are calls for assemblies or actions in some occupied buildings.
