Mainstream media in Greece are reporting today that A. Kougias, the lawyer representing both murderer-cop Korkoneas and his fellow cop and accomplice present at Alexis’ assassination, has applied for bail for them both, pending their trial. Kougias has demanded that his application is considered within 10 days. Kougias is the lawyer who claimed Alexis’ death was “god’s will” [sic] and that it was “up to the greek justice system to decide whether Alexis’ death was just or not”. Korkoneas has shown no remorse for the murder, claiming Alexis was “of deviant character”.
