Athens, 09.05. The neo-fascist group “Golden Dawn” (Chrisi Augi), had today called for a racist demonstration “against migrants” in Omonoia, Athens’ most central square – and one with a major migrant population. The photograph above depicts members of the Greek Riot police (MAT) side-by-side to members of the “Golden Dawn” (all wearking black helmets and carrying wrapped-up greek flags). Plenty more photos of the cops and the nazis are up on this article of athens indymedia.
During their gathering the fascists tried to attack the old Court of Appeals (Efeteio) building, were many migrants live. According to indymedia reports, migrants and others in solidarity inside the building fought back the fascists, with stones.
Leftist and anarchist anti-fascist demonstrations that tried to approach Omonoia Square were pushed back by riot police. In Exarcheia, the anarchists who had moved to the square there were attacked by riot police and some retreated in the Polytechnic, were street-fighting continued.

Cops and fascists ? I don’t know who the fascists are ? I only know of nationalists and anarchists or modern day Elfiades’s championing the invasion of Greece. I am aware that any Red who finds a thinking contrarian to his own refers to it as Fascist. It is a terrible abuse of language, and a malapropism that ought to be expurgated.

Esteemed readers, I am afraid none of you understands what a fascist is; nor do you have the slightest notion of fascist ideology. Fascism was defenestrated with the downfall of the great Benito Mussolini. Any contrarian view to the established pseudo democratic-leftist-anarchic-marxist establishement is gratuitously referred to as ” fascism”; a meaningless and fatuous expression.

Golden Dawn are not just “nationalists”,they are neonazis,even though now days they try to hide it to get more votes from the traditional extreme right.But they do wave the celtic crosses,they still talk about nationalsoscialism,they still talk about Aryan race.So,all that you are saying “Petros”,better keep it to yourself and your buddys to amuse your guiltes and your shame for beeing so soscialy rejected.
Other than that a some info about that from me:We where(the anarchists) in a small square near Omonia Square that their nazi bastards had their gathering.The leftists where in the other side of Omonia,gathering too and few of them where at Efetio,which is a squat by immigrants and they live there.The funny thing is that Golden Dawn has their offices in a small street on the other sid of Efetio,so as you see they see them everyday!
So anyway,we read in indymedia from early on that the cops helped the fascists to beat some immigrants at omonia,whisc we excpected.We went to that small square I told you about and we waited for the fascist demo to come in front of us.At some point,we where surrounded by riot cops which attacked us for now reason and some of us went in the Polytecnic school and some of us in the Exarheia Square.Riots went on ,but at the end of the day,we could get near the nazis.The only thing that nazis saw from us,was from the guys that where in efetio already.A video that show much about the sooperation between the nazi fucks and the cops
