UPDATE Another videos of police arbitrariness that we received. This one is from the student demo of Friday (09.01), when large numbers of police isolated a small number of protestors on Asklipiou Street in Athens. Around 20” in the video, the police start beating up the small crowd, unprovoked (another video from the same attack, here).
The occupation of the Theatre school of Thessaloniki posted the following video today on its blog. No need to comment, just to explain what you are seeing here: This video was shot on 08.12, two days after the assassination of Alex, outside the university of Thessaloniki. The anarchists in the university are attacked by riot police (who are not allowed in university grounds by law). A fascist mob is clearly seen surrounding and working with the police while chanting one of their slogans (“anarchists, sons of whores”).

A good look at their double-standard democracy. I already condemn police to perpetrate offences, like throwing rocks, or returning Molotov cocktails that in court justice meet charges of manslaughter, when it happens to be a rioter detained for such delict. But for those who failed to grasp what is going on, this video integrally showing civilians in unhindered collaboration with the police force, altogether committing such unlawful acts, is veritably unprecedented in Western society, (only seen in Greece and this video illustrates only the tip of the iceberg) and as far as I’m concerned receives the prize, for the blatant sanctimonious immorality of this band of criminal thugs which pose themselves as a righteous democratic authority.
I see all the more reason to procure ourselves the right to take justice into our own hands as they obviously do to have it selectively executed at their own convenience.
The Revolution Solution (oh I’ve come to join you) Thievery Corporation
What is going on in greece?is all acters of the revolution in prison or what?
is there any acions there?
There was a good start in december. Is there any new mass demos in the future?
@Johnny B4 the Road:
You are absolutely right. That is an attack that has no reasonable ground. You should fight back. The only thing I want to add is, please consider that humans tend to oversimplify by dividing ppl into groups. Not all ppl in the police force are bad ppl. Consider that when you use force against them. Otherwise you wouldn’t be any wiser then they are.
I see your point ANDRE, if I recall right, you made it previously on another occasion as well, and I have come to appreciate it’s ethical integrity, thanks.
But uh, … forgive my ignorance, please enlighten me, what’s exactly ppl ??
ppl is an abbreviation for “people”, it is mainly used by youth and internet users. It surprises me so much to see that you, one of the comrades of the Youth Social Uprisings, don´t know what ppl stood for…As if you´re not young at all…
So it´s true that the Greek intelligence services supervise what is going on here.
come again Paul?
Information wars
There will be blogs and comments in the favour either of the violent actions, either against the core issue which is at stake. If you are specialized people in Direct Action you must also have heard of the flamers…Not only the State will introduce confusion in our digital community, but also extremist (Fascist) elements will be interested in waging a digital information war against the Greek demonstrators.
It would be possible, I guess, for the State to stage some so-called terrorist attacks which will be allegedly assumed by the protesters. Divide et impera, an old but useful saying, applied in information wars.
Johnny, try for a moment to put in the State´s shoes…Wouldn´t you be interested in watching the online discussion about the problems you, as the State(=Greek, and not only, intelligence services), try to cover up?
I´m waiting you on my blog to see whether you agree with some points I made or not.
PAUL, actually I thought you were kidding, but you’re obviously dead serious.
Still I understand your concern, I myself as well feel every so often impelled to be oversuspicious, & overanalyze inconsequential and further utterly innocent circumstances sometimes.
Be assured though, as I have in former posts elicited, I am a what older rebel, and thus according the information that you supplied, I reckon the abbreviation ppl wasn’t simply in my vocabulary, because of being unacquainted to the lingo in those youth circles which you mentioned. Thanks for the info btw.
Other than that, with all due respect your allegation was way of mark. You can simply infer yourself that surveillance stands completely unattached of actively participating in a forum. I worry myself that this site is being scrutinized from the outside, however I’m clueless as to what for crying out loud could be the use of an internal subterfuge? I
As for your invite to visit your blog, of course I am all for it, curious actually and certainly not beforehand disengaging to interact, were it not that somewhere along the lines you seem to have forgotten to leave a reference to a link. Please be as accommodating and I sure come by to have a look.
WHAT IS THE SITUATION IN GREECE AT THE MOMENT. ARE THERE ANY PROTESTS, RIOTS OR ANY ACTIVITY????
I CERTANLY HOPE SO…
Almost one year ago there was a very much heated discussion in the Romanian blogosphere about the presence of visitors coming from the Romanian military intelligence services. Here is the link but you can put in Google Translate because is in Romanian.
http://sorin-tudor.ro/sts-supravegheaza-blogosfera/
I can infer from what happened in the Romanian blogosphere that the European intelligence services have automatic programs by means of which they have a look at what happens in the blogosphere. I see that the Greek government is seeking to label the young protesters as domestic terrorists. And now, why would the Greek government and the Greek intelligence services not want to see how the discussions about the Greek Youth Uprising take place in the cyberspace? Anyway the Americans record every bit which is transmitted via Internet.
I am not a specialist but I like to make scenarios, which can be accepted eventually as valid.
I want to organize a blog to call for Romanian participants in the demos for G8 2009 Meeting in Italy, in July. Please tell me that you will not give up and that you continue to oppose the European bureacrats including through large street protests in Italy and all over Europe when the G8 Meeting will take place in Italy this July.
Yo PAUL.
Let me begin with the latter, I very much so appreciate your determination to actively, network recruit & organize. Perusing this site daily for the last month or so, I discovered few ppl (!), like you, actually pragmatically exploiting the opportunity of the momentum which the Greeks have facilitated in our world wide struggle against the democratic farce. Not that I deem there’s anything wrong, with passing links, to satisfy our curiosity, expand our knowledge, and an entertaining value. By no means we should neither too undervalue the importance of thorough debate and exchange of thoughts, which I here & there do detect as emerging through the overwhelming amount of meaninglessness unsubstantial cries in the dark. We have to look ahead keep our watch on tomorrow, in realistic assertion that the brief moment we are granted leaves just momentarily a narrow window open to broaden our, horizons, relations, & means. The quality of natural leadership shines through the ones who appear knowledgeable & take advantage of that rare charitable circumstance. So on this point, I have to tribute your character and stimulate your practical thinking by bestowing upon you all the credit you deserve.
However on the subject of the information wars, you are beginning to fade up pal. I have visited the site you posted (hope I didn’t catch a bad Trojan or something similar), and apart from the confusion evoking translation that really didn’t get me anywhere further than, what I had already appointed in acknowledging the likelihood of outside technical surveillance. Any solid argumentation as to what could possibly be achieved by mingling into conversations remains for now with the hereunto provided arguments incomprehensible for my part. Although I myself as a clinically diagnosed schizophrenic paranoid, can’t help myself now & then to ask questions beyond the answers, and so I won’t preclude beforehand the possibility, that such intervention as you insist may actually occur. Than still, not only that my mental record technically excludes me from being employed, for whatever job, and certainly from any occupation in the secret service, it remains mind-boggling to me, why you chose particularly me to point your accusing finger? Have you read any of my posts at all? Opposed to say; Fontas Varidakis?
Due to just half understanding the page that you directed me to, I ain’t altogether sure, if this was the blog you mentioned to come visit you in a conversation, but reckoning that it wasn’t, I gather you are somehow reluctant to place it here, whether you don’t trust me at heart, whether you are cautious for outsiders listening in. But that’s quite alright we can simply converse here if you like.
Then finally Italy you say? Count me in. We’ll get together.
That is if you are up to take for granted that I don’t wear a badge. (I’m a criminal actually)
PAUL your beginning to break up again pal, …… perhaps there something wrong with the connection. …… cause truthfully I didn’t hear you apology as to yet.
Could be the intelligence service scrambling your messages, ..
But huh, .. oh I forgot, … that can’t be for that’s me.
Anyway, I placed a self written article a few threads up hope you pay a visit to the thread and be as willing to comment on the scenario.
